Magnify was founded in August 2013 by Chelsea Brannock, Eleanor Campbell, Laurel Gordon, Liliana Spence, and Devin Truchard. They started to manufacture ideas about starting a literary and art-worthy journal that would allow aspiring writers and artists to show their work and talent. Brannock, Campbell, Gordon, Spence, and Truchard wanted to have a name and design that demonstrated that everyone, all over the world, could submit their work to this journal. They developed logos, phrases, and artwork that would help achieve their goal of reaching out to the world. They chose the name Magnify to exhibit their mission of exposing the art and literary work of individuals around the world in one journal. Magnify accepts and publishes submissions of art, photography, poetry, and prose. Magnify uses recyclable materials and is dedicated to promoting sustainability and greener practices.
