Our Editors

Laurel Gordon is the Layout Editor for Magnify. She is from Elma, Washington and is a senior at Washington State University studying Rhetoric and Professional Writing. Laurel's favorite things are good books, cows, the color raspberry, the fruit raspberry, and her dog, Abby. Until recently, Laurel had only taken literature classes and wanted to work in literary publishing, but after taking several design classes and working on Magnify, she is considering a more design related publishing career upon graduation.

Liliana Spence is the Copy Editor for Magnify. She is a fourth year student studying Humanities: Communications, English and Women's Studies. After she graduates she hopes to adventure to New York to pursue editorial and other writing endeavors while exploring the world and entertaining the idea of returning to graduate school. She greatly enjoys writing, travel, peanut butter ice cream, and brightening people’s day.

Chelsea Brannock is the Submissions Editor for Magnify. She is a senior at Washington State University, earning her degree in English Education with a Spanish minor. She plans on teaching high school English after graduation and hopes to participate in Teach for America at some point in her teaching career. Some of her favorite things are Hip-Hop music, dance, and Taco Bell. Her adorable Pomeranian-Yorkie puppy, Kendrik Jamal, is the apple of her eye and if she ever has the pleasure of retiring, she will spend every day on a sunny, gorgeous beach.

Eleanor Campbell is Magnify's Marketing Editor. She creates new and innovative ideas on how to market and sell Magnify as a literary journal. She grew up in Federal Way, Washington. Later, after she completed high school and her Associate's Degree through the Running Start program, she transferred to Washington State University, in Pullman, Washington. There, Eleanor is a  senior majoring in Humanities with an emphasis in Communications, English, Biology, and Philosphy. In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys blogging and making her own websites to help promote her journalism and photography.

Devin Truchard is the Web Editor for Magnify, and is responsible for modifying this very website to make it more appealing and user friendly. A transfer student from Las Vegas, Nevada, he came to WSU to help earn his Digital Technology and Culture major. When not focusing on building the website, he enjoys playing video games, learning useless trivia, and complaining about a severe lack of adorable cats on campus. While not the most artistic person in the world, he does possess some skill in visualization and organizing already existing pieces into enjoyable imagery.
